Event Details

Now that the winter rains are finally here, this is the perfect time to consider the impact that flood waters might have on parts of our community…. and to train to respond….

Berkeley CERT is will be conducting Expedient Flood Training class on Sunday, February 12 from 10am-12pm at the Fire Department Warehouse – 1011 Folger St. (Near Urban Ore).

Expedient Flood Training

(Recommended pre-requisite of taken at least 1 CERT class)

How can you respond to flood waters in your neighborhood? Work as part of an organized community flood control effort.   Learn basic procedures and methods to construct a sandbag levee.   This training is also applicable to those people attempting an individual flood fight to save an isolated home or business.   This is a hands-on training – dress casually, you may get wet!   Hard-toed shoes are mandatory.

Space is limited.
